Led by MS Dhoni, some Chennai Super Kings (CSK) members have reached their bio-secure bubble in Dubai for the resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. IPL 2021 was postponed mid-season in May due to multiple COVID-19 cases in the bio-secure bubble of many teams. CSK posted a video of their journey from India to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Twitter and featured Ruturaj Gaikwad, Suresh Raina and Deepak Chahar with their skipper among others. The video was also subtitled as “Vanakkam Dubai again”. Here’s the video:

The video also gave a glimpse into the team’s entertainment room, where Dhoni played billiards with Chahar.
Coaches Lakshmipathy Balaji and Michael Hussey also tested positive for the squad’s feared virus before the season was postponed.
CSK was in good form, winning five games and losing just two. They were second on the table before the competition was abruptly halted.
First place was taken by Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in third place, followed by Mumbai Indians (MI).
The Chennai-based team will resume their campaign against defending champions MI on September 19 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The match between MI and CSK will also be the opening match for the resumption of IPL 2021. It will be followed by RCB taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Abu Dhabi.
A total of 13 matches will be played in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah and 8 in Abu Dhabi.
Dhoni is aiming to lead CSK at least into the play-offs after finishing only seventh in IPL 2020.
