Following India’s thrilling win against England at Lord’s in the second Test, opener Rohit Sharma took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo with wife Ritika Sajdeh. “Everything that is happening in the world right now makes us want to cling to those we love and pray that our time on this planet will find a place of peace and love for every living thing on it,” he wrote. Rohit as a caption for the post. The photo gained more than 300,000 likes in just half an hour after it was posted. Rohit and Ritika have been in the UK for over two months now and have posted several photos on social media during this time.

India defeated England by 151 runs in the second Test to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match Test series. Rohit Sharma put in a great performance with the bat in the first innings, scoring 83 runs and adding 126 runs for the first wicket with KL Rahul.

“Every one of us wanted this win, you could see it, you could feel it and it was incredible to watch it play out,” Rohit wrote in a post on social media after the win.

India struggled on Day 5 when they were reduced to 209 for 8 in the second innings, but Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah split an unbeaten 89-run tie for the ninth wicket to help India win England 272.

The visitors were sitting on top of the English batsmen from the first left from the chase. The Indian sailors were ruthless with their lines and lengths, and as a result, England were eliminated for 120 runs in the fourth innings and India recorded another win away from home.
