Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who is in the UK for the ongoing Test series against England, took to Instagram to share a few photos and called himself “the good boy in the class”. “Class ka sabse shareef ladka (the good boy in the class),” Pant wrote in Hindi in the post. While fans were impressed by Pant’s clothing style, who wore a sweatshirt and shorts, it was the friendly rant between two of his Delhi Capitals teammates Axar Patel and Ishant Sharma that opened the doors to a laugh.
In response to Pant’s post, Axar Patel wrote “wo hai jo photo le raha tha,” which translates to “the one who clicked the photos is the well-mannered one.”
Veteran pacemaker Ishant Sharma joined the friendly chatter and questioned Axar for calling himself innocent.
After seeing three Delhi Capitals team-mates pulling each other’s legs on social media, fans couldn’t stop laughing.
The trio arrived in Leeds with the rest of the Indian squad and sweated it out on the ground in Headingley on Sunday as they prepared for the third test.
Prior to the game, England suffered another injury when their pacer Mark Wood was ruled out of the game due to a shoulder injury.
Wood sustained the injury while diving near the boundary ropes to save a boundary in the second Test at Lord’s. The hosts were already on the back foot in the pace division when Stuart Broad, who sustained a calf injury, was ruled out of the ongoing series.
