The official websites of the Taliban, who took power last week after a lightning strike in Afghanistan, appeared to have disappeared from the internet late Friday.
It was not immediately clear whether a technical malfunction or something else was the cause.
The Taliban operate separate websites in Pashto, Dari, Arabic, Urdu and English. All five were unreachable on Friday.
A spokeswoman for CloudFlare, stating online that it provides protection for Taliban sites, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The outage was first reported by The Washington Post.
