As part of military diplomacy and to strengthen the growing strategic relationship with Kazakhstan, the 5th edition of the India-Kazakhstan Joint Training Exercise, “KAZIND-21”, will be held at Training Node, Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan, from August 30 to Sept 11 this year. year.
The exercise is a joint training between the two armies, which will strengthen bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan.
The Indian Army contingent, represented by a battalion of the Bihar regiment, consists of a total of 90 personnel under the command of a contingent commander. The Kazakh army is represented by a corporate group.
The exercise will provide the armed forces of India and Kazakhstan with an opportunity to train for Counter Insurgency / Counter-Terrorism operations in mountainous, rural scenarios under UN mandate, read a press release from the Ministry of Defense.
The scope of joint exercise includes professional exchange, planning and operation of the operation in a counter-terrorism environment at the sub-unit level and the sharing of expertise in weapons skills, combat shooting and experiences in Counter Insurgency / Counter-Terrorism operations.
The exercise will culminate after a 48-hour validation exercise, during which a terrorist neutralization scenario will take place in a semi-rural shelter. It will enhance mutual trust and interoperability and enable the sharing of best practices between the armed forces of India and Kazakhstan.
