Himachal will now be required to provide a minimum 72-hour RT-PCR report.
shimla:
People wishing to visit Himachal Pradesh are now required to provide an RT-PCR report at least 72 hours old as the state government on Friday made a Covid-19 negative certificate mandatory for anyone wishing to enter the state.
This was decided by the state cabinet on 10 August. “It was important to implement this decision to protect the lives of the people. The government’s priority is to protect the people from Covid. Anyone entering the state must have a minimum of 72 hours old RT-PCR test report. A person who has received both injections of the covid-19 vaccine can be let into the state,” said Rajiv Saizal, health minister.
The health minister said this decision was made in light of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases.
Those tourists who entered the state a day ago or are already in the region are taking extra precautions against Covid-19.
According to the State Health Department, 75 percent of the total population has been vaccinated against Covid from the first dose so far.
