The highly successful Jan Aashirwad Yatra, a public outcry by 39 new Union ministers, has left the opposition “disturbed and nervous,” BJP president JP Nadda said today, accusing her of trying to obstruct the program.
People continue to show “fearless support and confidence” in the Modi government, he said in a statement.
“All the tricks and disturbances have not shaken the strong support and confidence of the people in the government of Narendra Modi,” Nadda said, lashing out at the government of Maharashtra for targeting Union minister Narayan Rane had chosen.
Mr Rane was arrested by Maharashtra Police for his remarks against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray while on the Yatra.
“It is a direct attack on our democratic system, but popular support forced all of the narrow-minded opposition parties and our political opponents to withdraw,” Nadda said. “The highly successful ‘Jan Aashirwad Yatras’ across the country has alarmed and nervous the opposition parties and they have tried in vain to disrupt and hinder our Yatra and programs.”
The BJP chief added that people have rejected the “negative political agenda” of opposition parties and strongly support the politics of development and growth.
The Yatra, which started on Independence Day and lasted until August 28, covered more than 24,000 km in 14 days during which more than 5,000 programs were organized.
“All these programs were very successful, which also attracted enthusiastic participation from people from all walks of life,” the BJP chief claimed.
People have praised general development and progress under the Modi government, whose “pro-people and pro-poor” policies and programs have touched the lives of all walks of life, he said, adding that it has taken several initiatives to improve the enhance India’s security and security.
“India’s last seven years under Prime Minister Modi’s dynamic, decisive and far-sighted leadership have been one of people’s participation, development, confidence, security, prosperity and growth,” he said.
“The enormous success of the ‘Jan Aashirwad Yatras’ are also proof of the
‘Vikas Yatra’ who has seen the country under the dynamic and decisive leadership of the Prime Minister and the confidence and support of all his ministers,” Nadda added.
He said the BJP and Prime Minister Modi are committed and determined to provide benefits from all social and economic welfare schemes to every section of society, especially those left behind in the race for growth and development.
