Police broke open the door of BJP leader’s house and arrested him (representative)
Kolkata:
A local BJP leader was arrested Friday for allegedly molesting the wife of a local Trinamool leader in the Muchipara area of Kolkata, police said.
According to the woman’s complaint, she was molested by a group of people, including the BJP leader, when she left her home on Thursday night to buy medicines, a police officer said.
On the basis of the FIR, the police broke open the door of the BJP leader’s house and arrested him on Friday afternoon, he said.
The BJP leader was also accused of looting a local club after allegedly molesting the woman, the officer added.
