WhatsApp Update: Good news for WhatsApp users around the world: Meta’s popular instant messaging application is working on camera mode to record videos quickly. According to a report, WhatsApp is planning to offer the option to switch between a camera and video mode.
Thanks to this function, it is possible to switch to another mode to record quickly. This feature has already been released on an earlier version of WhatsApp beta for Android. The camera mode is under development on WhatsApp beta for iOS and will be released in a future update, WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, reported.
At the moment, you need to tap and hold to record a video, which is a complicated process if you need to record a long video, but in the future, you can switch to video mode with just one tap, which will make it more convenient to record videos. This feature allows WhatsApp users to record videos in a simple and convenient way.
WhatsApp is also working on a shortcut blocking feature right in the notifications. This feature makes it easier to block contacts by using the shortcut available in the chat option.
The blocking feature on WhatsApp is only visible when you receive a message from unknown and untrusted contacts.
According to the report, this restriction is necessary because people may accidentally tap the block action when replying to notifications to their trusted contacts. The blocking shortcut will be added to notifications in a future update to the app.
Meanwhile, Meta’s messaging platform is also rolling out the ability to detect text in images in your conversations on iOS 16. However, for now, only beta testers can use this new feature.
Beta testers can simply open an image that contains text and verify the presence of the text detection button. When the button is visible, you can start extracting text from images in your conversations.
