Google will have AI-focused updates to share
Google is concerned about being overtaken by Open AI with ChatGPT in the market and this event could give us more details about its own plans.
Google hosted an AI-centric event this month that promises to bring us new updates on Search and Maps as per the reports. The event will be streamed online and will be called ‘Live from Paris’.
The event will be Google’s platform to showcase its work in the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and we can get some details about Google’s potential rival to ChatGPT. This month’s Google event is on February 8 and will be streaming at 8:30am ET (7:00pm IST). Google has mostly saved its big ticket announcements for the I/O conference, where it can interact and network with the developer community.
But this event seems like the company is eager to get its AI project off the ground, especially with the hype around ChatGPT taking everyone by surprise.
Google has generally stayed ahead, but its Open AI product has definitely caught the search engine giant out of nowhere, so much so that the company had to raise an internal red code to create a compelling product that could rival ChatGPT.
Google’s AI integration is in addition to its existing range of products, and this ChatGPT rival will likely follow the same model, as explained by Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet, who claims that Google has invested heavily in natural language AI and that it will be offered to consumers through Google.
Google has been working on its AI product for years, but the company faces conscious challenges, which it has not publicly admitted, but reports indicate the company has concerns about the ethics of the application. The sudden jump in their step could be a result of ChatGPT and how it has stolen the AI spotlight, which has clearly not gone down well with Google.
