Police have arrested five people for brandishing guns and firing into the air on a stretch of road in Indirapuram after a video of the incident went viral on social media, officials said on Monday.
The video clip shows an SUV parked by the roadside while its occupants are drinking liquor, playing loud music and dancing, DCP, Trans Hindon and Deeksha Sharma told media outlets.
After learning of the video, which was recorded on Indirapuram causeway and circulated on social media for the past two days, police identified the owner of the SUV by its license plate number, officials said.
Raja Chowdhary, the owner of the car, was arrested on Sunday. During interrogation, he revealed the names of four others in the video, police said.

Chowdhary owns two gyms in Ghaziabad, police said, adding that two of those arrested — Santosh Thakur and Arun Chauhan — work as security guards in his gyms and brandished .315 rifles in the video.
Letters of recommendation for the revocation of their gun licenses have been sent to Kannauj and Etawah districts from where they were issued, the DCP added.
The other two perpetrators have been identified as Rohit Sethi and Akash Sirohi, the DCP said.
