Washington:
The United States and Japan on Friday reiterated the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and warned against Russia’s use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
The two nations also called “provocations” by North Korea following a meeting between US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in a joint White House statement.
“We strongly oppose any unilateral attempt to change the status quo by force or coercion anywhere in the world,” the statement said.
