Kishore Mankar, who teaches at a Zila Parishad Primary School in Ganeshpur village in Maharashtra, says the school has had only one student for the past two years.
Located 22 kilometers from Washim district in Maharashtra, Mankar further stated that the population of Ganeshpur is only 150.
Kishore Mankar said that he has been teaching at this school for the past two years.
“I’m the only teacher in the school,” says Kishore Mankar, a schoolteacher who has turned up every day on his bike for two years to teach just one student.
“There is only one teacher in the school for the past two years. I have been teaching during this period,” Mankar added.
“From 10:30 am to 12:00 am, I follow all the rules and regulations, including singing the national anthem,” said Mankar.
“I teach him all the subjects. All the facilities given by the government, including the midday meal, are provided to the student,” Mankar added.
