San Jose, United States:
Fallen American biotech star Elizabeth Holmes was sentenced on Friday to just over 11 years in prison for defrauding investors with her Silicon Valley startup Theranos.
Holmes, who is pregnant, will not have to surrender until April next year, U.S. District Judge Edward Davila ordered in a courtroom in San Jose, California.
The founder of Theranos was convicted on four counts in January for convincing investors for 15 years that she had developed a revolutionary medical device before the company went bust.
