No one was injured in the plane crash in Maryland, USA.
Maryland:
A small plane crashed into power lines in the US state of Maryland last night, causing a widespread power outage in Montgomery County, the Washington Post reported, citing local authorities.
No one was injured in the incident. More than 90,000 homes and businesses were affected by the power outage across the country.
“A small plane has crashed into power lines in the Rothbury Dr & Goshen Rd area, depriving parts of the county of power. @mcfrs is on the scene. AVOID THE AREA as there are still power carrying cables,” de Montgomery said County police on Twitter.
The crash occurred near a commercial area during the rain, but the actual cause has yet to be determined. It is estimated that the plane hit power lines as high as the 10th floor, but this could not be immediately confirmed, the report said.
An investigation is underway.
