US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with his counterpart in India on Saturday about, among other things, the Russian war against Ukraine, according to the State Department.
Blinken spoke with Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar about “regional and global issues, including counter-terrorism cooperation and Russia’s continued aggression against Ukraine,” the ministry said in a press release.
India is a major buyer of Russian oil, which is helping finance the war against Ukraine.
Jaishankar will visit Russia on Nov. 8, the Russian embassy in India said Thursday.
