Pamela Chopra, wife of legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra, passed away in Mumbai at the age of 74. Her death was confirmed by the family on Instagram.

Pamela Chopra was born in July 1949 and married film producer Yash Chopra in 1970. Their families met through a mutual friend.
Mrs. Chopra is survived by two sons – filmmaker Aditya Chopra and actor Uday Chopra. Her son Aditya Chopra is married to Rani Mukerji.
She also worked as a singer, writer, dress designer and co-producer of many Yash Raj films. Mrs. Chopra sang several songs for hit movies, including “Kabhi Kabhi‘, ‘Noorie‘, ‘Kaala Pattar‘, ‘Silsila‘, ‘Chandni‘, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge‘ And ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge‘.
She is also credited with writing the film’Kabhi Kabhi‘. Ms. Chopra also co-wrote the film’s script’Dil to Pagal Haialong with her husband Yash Chopra.
The playback singer was last seen in the Netflix documentary ‘The Romantics‘. “Music is my passion. Yash knew that and he would invite me to attend the music sessions. Slowly I became part of that group,” she said in the documentary.
