The e-rickshaw was carrying firecrackers which caused the explosion.
In Greater Noida, one person died on Monday after an e-rickshaw explosion. Video of the explosion has been circulating on social media. It is said that the e-rickshaw was carrying fireworks which caused the explosion during the Jagannath Yatra.
The e-rickshaw, which was filled with firecrackers for the procession’s fireworks, caught fire after a firecracker set off during the yatra fell on it. The incident was captured by a CCTV camera from a shop in the street.
According to police, two people were injured in the accident and were taken to a nearby hospital for police treatment. They further said that one of them succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
The video shows a busy market area in the Dadri area where some people are standing in front of a shop. Seconds later, an e-rickshaw appears on the scene. Everything looks normal, when suddenly there is an explosion in the boxes full of fireworks on the e-rickshaw. Before anyone could understand anything, fireworks were seen flying around randomly, leaving everyone in shock.

All the fireworks in the electric vehicle seem to go off together, leaving the road shrouded in thick smoke. A few people run into the store while others run in different directions to protect themselves from the impact of the explosion. A few minutes later, locals gather around the e-rickshaw with water buckets and a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
