While some users remained amused, others believed that the animal’s dance was actually caused by psychosis from being kept in captivity.
One user wrote: ”He seems chill enough to be around.” Another said: ”Yeah, cool moves, but it shouldn’t be in a zoo. Anyway, I loved it.”
Some called it an example of “Zoochosis,” a mental disorder that can develop in captive animals.
A third wrote: “This move is due to his incarceration…and it’s no fun.” abnormal behavior signs of abuse and imprisonment. I mean, do you really think raccoons can dance with you?”
A fifth stated: ”Repetitive movements caused by STRESS! It’s not funny.” A sixth said, “Usually not cool when animals feel trapped and afraid to make these moves.”
Yet another added, ”Raccoon doesn’t throw a dance. He’s scared because he’s in the cage!!”
