An NSG commando is said to have been attacked here by four men because of a small scuffle, police said on Tuesday.
A case has been filed with Kherki Daula’s police station, they said, adding that one of the suspects has been arrested.
According to the complainant Chunnu Ansari, a resident of Uttar Pradesh and stationed at the National Security Guard (NSG) center in Manesar, he had gone to a popular fast food restaurant in Sector 80 on Monday evening to pack some food.
When he pulled out of the socket around 6pm, a car blocked the road with four men inside, Mr Ansari said in his complaint.
Police said the occupants of the car were under the influence of alcohol.
When Mr Ansari asked the men to move their car, they verbally insulted him and then beat him, the complainant alleged.
The four men even threatened to kill the NSG commando before fleeing the site, according to the indictment, which said he learned the name of one of the accused was Lakshya Kataria.
The FIR against the four accused was filed under sections 323 (causing pain) and 506 (criminal harassment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
“We have arrested the prime suspect, Lakshya Kataria, who was released on bail after joining the investigation. We are investigating the role of the other accused,” said Rajender Singh, Kherki Daula Station House Officer (SHO). PTI COR RC
