North Korea called on the US and South Korea to end large-scale military exercises in the region.
Washington:
North Korea on Monday called on the United States and South Korea to stop large-scale military exercises in the region, calling them a provocation that could draw “stronger follow-up action” from Pyongyang, KCNA reported, citing a North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.
“The situation in the Korean peninsula and its environs has once again entered the serious confrontational phase of power for power as a result of the incessant and reckless military actions of the US and South Korea,” the statement said.
