Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held her daughter’s wedding at home today, eschewing the trend of a fat destination wedding.
It was a simple ceremony with family and friends in Bengaluru. No political heavyweights were present.
The marriage of Mrs. Sitharaman’s daughter Parakala Vangamayi to Prateek was performed according to Brahmin tradition with seers of Udupi Adamaru Mutt blessing the bride and groom.
Marriage rituals are performed.
The bride wore a pink saree for the special occasion and paired it with a green blouse. The groom wore a white pancha and scarf.
The bride’s mother, Mrs. Sitharaman, wore a Molakalmuru saree.
The wedding took place in the Vedic order of Adamaru Mutt.
