A schoolteacher and her 14-year-old son were found murdered in Kolkata on Monday.
Their bodies were discovered by her husband in their flat in a multi-storey building in the city’s Behala Parnashree neighborhood.
The door was open when he returned from work, with his son’s body, dressed in his school uniform with a tie around his neck, in a pool of blood on the bed. The woman’s body was found on the ground.
The victims were probably killed by several attackers with a kitchen chopper. However, the post-mortem reports are awaited.
His son’s husband and mentor are being questioned in the case. The tutor had arrived at the house around 5pm and had left after discovering that the door was closed and the lights were off.
Neighbors said they had heard or seen nothing suspicious.
The police suspect that the killer was known to the woman and that according to sources she opened the door for him.
The police also check the call details of those involved.
