Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese watch Day 1 of the final test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Ahmedabad on March 9.
Australian High Commissioner Barry O’Farrell told ANI on Monday that the Australian Prime Minister will make a three-day visit to India from March 8, visiting Mumbai, Ahmedabad and New Delhi.
He informed ANI that Prime Minister Modi and Australian Prime Minister will watch Albanian day 1 of the fourth and final test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia on March 9 in Ahmedabad.
“One of the things that binds both countries is cricket and it will be great to see the leaders of India and Australia on the first day of matches in Ahmedabad,” he said.

India currently leads the series 2-1. If they win the final test, they will qualify for the final of the ICC World Test Championship, where they will face Australia from June 7 in London.
India had won the first Test at Nagpur by an inning and 132 runs. They followed it up with a six-wicket victory at Delhi in the Second Test. Both tests ended in a span of three days.
Australia avoided the possibility of being whitewashed by winning the third Test at Indore by nine wickets in three days.

Australia’s High Commissioner for India also revealed that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will also take part in the Holi festival celebrations.
