Covid Live Updates: A decrease of 611 cases was recorded in the active Covid caseload
With 1,994 new cases, the number of COVID-19 in India has risen to 4,46,42,742 while the number of active cases of the infection has fallen to 23,432, the health ministry said on Sunday.
The number of deaths from the viral disease has risen to 5,28,961 with four more fatalities, according to ministry data updated at 8 a.m. Active cases account for 0.05 percent of the total number of cases, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.76 percent, the ministry said.
A decrease of 611 cases was recorded in the active Covid caseload in a 24-hour timeframe, it added.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.24 percent and the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 0.99 percent, according to the Ministry of Health.
