The four children who were lost in the Colombian jungle 40 days ago have been found alive, the president said.
Bogota:
Four indigenous children were found alive on Friday after being lost in Colombia’s Amazon rainforest for more than a month following a minor plane crash that sparked a massive rescue, the country’s president, Gustavo Petro, said.
“A joy for the whole country! The 4 children who were lost in the Colombian jungle 40 days ago have been found alive,” Petro wrote on Twitter, posting a photo of several military and indigenous people who took part in the operation to rescue the siblings, aged 13, nine, four and one.
