The NCPCR said in its letter that it was done “at the behest of Atishi Singh”.
New Delhi:
Based on the complaint filed by BJP leader Manoj Tiwari, the National Commission for the Protection of the Rights of the Child (NCPCR) has written to the Chief Secretary and Police Commissioner of Delhi to initiate an FIR serve against the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Atishi, and take action against her for the alleged abuse of children for “personal agendas”.
“It has been learned that the Delhi Education Task Force is allegedly abusing underage children studying in schools for their personal agendas and political campaigns at the behest of Atishi Singh,” said the NCPCR, which requested the commissioner to immediately file an FIR and the to investigate the case. .
The NCPCR has also alleged in the letter that the abuse of the underage children is done to divert attention and “favor” the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, who is accused of the alleged scam in the area of excise duties.
Based on Mr Tiwari’s complaint, the Commission has also named members of the Education Task Force Shailesh, Rahul Tiwari, President of Maitreyi college Vaibhav Srivastav (also a member of the Education Task Force) and Tarishi Sharma, who is a member of the Education Task Force and also officer in Deputy CM’s office.
Deputy Chairman of Delhi Dialogue and Development Commission Jasmine Shah has also been appointed.
The Commission’s move came after Manoj Tiwari wrote a letter to NCPCR Chairman Priyank Kanoongo to several people, including AAP’s Atishi and Education Task Force member Shailesh.
“The national capital is witnessing and experiencing an unusual form of violation of the rights and interests of the children, which is not only sui generis but unprecedented. We are witnessing the events being planned, drafted and managed for the political benefit of the AAP after the arrest of Manish Sisodia, who is currently in pre-trial detention,” Tiwari wrote in his complaint.
He further claimed that the AAP is doing this after the Supreme Court refused to give Sisodia any relief because there is no longer an option for the party.
“Using power and position puts pressure on the principals and principals of schools. It came to the knowledge that committees have been created for coordinating with the school board committees and in conducting such events the government resources are used,” added he to it. .
However, the Delhi Police registered a case against Ghazala, the chairman of the School Management Committee, under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act after posters in favor of AAP leader Sisodia were reportedly pasted on Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Shastri Park.
Mr. Sisodia was arrested last Sunday in an ongoing investigation into a case related to alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of GNCTD’s excise policy.
The Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday extended the CBI remand of former Delhi minister Manish Sisodia in the case.
Special judge MK Nagpal on Saturday granted two more days in custody of Manish Sisodia to the CBI. Meanwhile, the court also notified CBI of Manish Sisodia’s bail and set the case for March 10, 2023.
While seeking further pre-trial detention of Manish Sisodia, CBI counsel stated: “He is still uncooperative and we need his further detention to confront him with two individuals.”
