Following a complaint from Madankumar’s mother Devi, her husband and youngest son were arrested
Chennai:
A 50-year-old man killed his son by strangling him during an altercation and he was arrested, police said in Chennai on Thursday.
In his twenties, Madankumar got into an argument with his relatives at his home early on Wednesday and when the argument got out of hand, his father C Mathivanan strangled him, they said.
Mathivanan and his youngest son Madhavan (20) strangled Madankumar with the help of a rope, which led to his death.
Madankumar, 24, often bickered and used abusive language while under the influence of alcohol and he was Mathivanan’s eldest son, according to a police press release.
Following a complaint from Madankumar’s mother Devi, her husband and youngest son were arrested and brought before a court that remanded the duo to judicial custody.
