New Delhi:
Delhi police have filed a complaint against Sahil, who is accused of murdering a 16-year-old girl in Shahbad Dairy district of Delhi.
“A 640-page final indictment against Sahil, accused of killing a 16-year-old underage girl at Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy, has been filed with the court,” the Delhi police said.
The minor was stabbed multiple times on May 28 and her head was crushed with a boulder by a 20-year-old man named Sahil in the Shahbad Dairy area of New Delhi, police said.
The suspect was arrested by Delhi police near Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh on May 29.
On May 1, police had recovered the knife allegedly used by the suspect to kill the minor in the Shahbad Dairy area, officials said.
CCTV footage of the incident shows that Sahil allegedly stabbed the girl several times with a knife. He kept stabbing her even as she fell to the ground. He kicked her and then grabbed a concrete slab nearby and clubbed her head. The footage showed people how the events unfolded and passed without intervening. At one point, a dog is seen approaching the spot.
According to the police, the suspect had a relationship with the minor, but they had a fight on May 28 night, after which he killed her.
The police said it had registered an FIR in the case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Shahbad Dairy Police Station.
