Sanjay Dutt, who has worked in the industry for four decades, has been able to establish himself as one of the most prominent actors in Hindi cinema. Carrying on the legacy of his parents Sunil Dutt and Nargis, his fan base is huge and he was considered a style icon in the 90s, with his distinguished long hair. We are sure that Sanjay Dutt has come across countless fans in his lifetime, but there was one distinguished fan that the actor will probably never forget.
In 2018, he was shocked by a phone call with Sanjay Dutt when the police told him that a complete stranger named Nisha Patil had died two weeks ago and left her entire bank balance to him. Nisha Patil, 62, lived in Mumbai’s Malabar Hills and had been a fan of Sanjay Dutt for as long as she could remember.
The fan wrote numerous emails to her couch, offering the star everything she had. Sanjay even requested the relatives to receive the items left to him in a letter to the Bank of Baroda in Walkeshwar. Nisha Patil had wanted a total of Rs 72 crore to Sanjay Dutt. It also contained jewelry kept in the bank’s safety deposit boxes.
Nisha battled a terminal illness before she passed away on January 15, 2018. She was a housewife who lived with her siblings and her 80-year-old mother. A day after her prayer meeting, her will was revealed to her family, who were unaware of it. Sanjay Dutt made sure that ownership of all money and assets was transferred to Nisha’s immediate family.
