Domestic stock markets are likely to open in green, following the strength of the previous trading session. The Nasdaq closed with a new record Friday, but Wall Street’s major indices entered the Labor Day weekend mixed in response to a disappointing US jobs report. Asian stocks got off to a mixed start on Monday, as a disappointing US salary report pledged to keep policy super-easy there for an extended period of time. Trends on SGX Nifty point to a positive opening for the Nifty, with a gain of 46 points.
The Sensex was up 277.41 points to 58,129.95 and the Nifty was up 89.40 points to 17,323.60.
