Gasoline, Diesel Price Today: Petrol and diesel prices will remain unchanged in metros on Monday, August 23, after the marginal drop from the previous day. In the national capital, petrol prices are stable at Rs 101.64 per liter and diesel prices are unchanged at Rs 89.07 per liter, according to Indian Oil Corporation. Of the four metro cities, petrol and diesel prices are highest in Mumbai, according to the state-run oil refinery. Fuel rates vary from country to country due to value added tax (VAT).

State-run oil refineries such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel tariffs daily, taking into account crude oil prices in international markets and exchange rates of the rupee and dollar. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices will be implemented daily from 6am.
Meanwhile, oil prices bounced back on Monday after a seven-day loss as investors targeted a bargain on crude.
Brent crude futures rose 60 cents or 0.9 percent to $65.78 a barrel and US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 53 cents or 0.9 percent to 62 for October .67 dollars a barrel.
