Madhivanan Balakrishnan, chief operating officer of IDFC FIRST Bank, has been appointed full-time director, designated executive director and chief operating officer, according to a statement released Wednesday.
It added that it “follows the approval of the RBI and is based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and under the provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 for a period of 3 years subject to approval by the shareholders of the bank”.
Balakrishnan has been part of the bank since 2019 and currently serves as the chief operating officer of the bank. He is a customer-focused industry thought leader with broad expertise in business development, operations, customer insights and technology.
He is an expert in operational, technical and marketing experience in various industry segments such as banking, insurance, FMCG, durable goods and IT & ITES.
