H-1B Visa 2024: The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has stated in a press release that registration for an H-1B Visa will begin March 1 and end March 17, 2023. The Immigration Department said that applicants and representatives may complete and submit their registrations using the online H-1B registration system – myUSCIS.
To track registrations in the service, the UCIS will assign a confrontation number to each registration submitted for an H-1B visa. The assigned number is only used for tracking registrations and cannot be used to know the case status in Case Status Online.
The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows U.S. companies to hire foreign workers for specialized positions that require theoretical or technical expertise. It is crucial for technology companies to hire thousands of workers from countries like China and India every year.
Each registration submitted for the FY 2024 H-1B will be given a confirmation number and it will be possible to track the registration using the number, the Immigration Department said. “This number is used solely to track registrations; you cannot use this number to track the status of your case in Case Status Online,” the agency said.
Each beneficiary must be registered using the account and a $10 registration fee must be paid for each registration submitted on behalf of each beneficiary by all prospective H-1B visa applicants or by their representatives.
Prospective H-1B cap-subject applicants or their representatives are required to use a myUSCIS online account to electronically register each beneficiary for the selection process and pay the associated $10 H-1B registration fee for each registration submitted on behalf of each beneficiary the department said in a statement.
US employers and agents registering as registrants will use registrant accounts and will be able to open new accounts starting February 21. “Applicants who submit their own registrations (U.S. employers and U.S. agents, collectively known as “registrants”) will use a “registrant” account. Registrants will be able to create new accounts on Feb. 21 at noon,” the agency added. .
