In an interview in the September issue of Virgin Atlantic’s inflight magazine Vera, Tucci said he had a tumor at the base of his tongue and had to undergo high doses of radiation and chemo for months.
“I’ve had a feeding tube for six months,” he told the magazine, adding that the cancer is unlikely to come back.

Earlier this year, Tucci headlined the NewsMadura Original series “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy,” a six-part program in which he visited various regions of Italy and revealed the country’s history and culture through its most famous dishes.
